The choice for elegant, unique and attractive flooring would be the hardwood floors.  The hardwood flooring boards are widely used in many places like the hotels, offices and even in houses in some cases.  The maple hardwood flooring is also called as sugar maple or Canadian maple.  This wood was extensively used by the Native Americans.  This wood is the hardest of all and is used to make not only weaponry but also soap and syrup.  It is well known for its wear resistance and non abrasive features.  This is known till this day and is recommended for use in flooring too.

The Italian porcelain tile is also one of the most favorite flooring materials in kitchens and in baths.  This is a practice that is prevailing for many years.  This ceramic tile could either be glazed or unglazed.  The porcelain tile is much more impervious to moisture than the normal ceramic tiles.  Porcelain tiles are created by mixing clay and other materials together and firing at high temperatures of heat.  This would harden the tile which depends on the duration of the heating process.  The temperature also decides the impervious the tile would be to eater.  The normal ceramic tiles are not as hard as porcelain as they are subjected to fire only for a lesser time in comparison.
